Los miembros de Green Day Billie Joe Armstrong y Mike Dirnt han hecho una aparición sorpresa al frente de The Coverups, el grupo de versiones que fundaron el pasado año para tocar clásicos de la música y pasar buenos ratos.
En esta ocasión, la banda -con Billie Joe a la voz y la guitarra como siempre y Mike a la guitarra en lugar dle bajo- actuó en su Oakland natal durante una hora con un repertorio que incluyó versiones de David Bowie, Ramones, Nirvana, The Clash y otros muchos.
The Coverups está integrado por los dos miembros de Green Day en compañía de Jason White (guitarra y voz), Bill Schneider (bajo) y Chris Dugan (batería).
